The Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), which has been the face of the Turkish private sector in the outside world since its establishment in 1986, plays an active role in the development of business and export opportunities in the regions, including African countries.

DEİK, which carries out foreign economic relations, especially trade, international investments, services, contracting and logistics, under a single roof; researching investment opportunities at home and abroad; Contributing to the increase of Turkey’s exports and successfully coordinating similar business development activities.

Sintek, which has kept its lens on Africa in new investment and business development opportunities in recent years, is among the companies that take an active role in DEİK. Sintek Founding Partner Onur Atakay has been elected as the Deputy Chairman of DEİK Turkey-Ivory Coast Business Council, while Sintek Chief Executive Officer Faruk Yıldırım represents the company by participating in business and study tours organized within DEİK.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan chaired the convoy of Turkish businessmen; Sintek Chief Executive Officer Faruk Yıldırım, who participated in the DEİK organization covering Benin and Ivory Coast, as well as the official tour covering Tanzania, Mozambique and Madagascar, made various contacts.

Sintek was also represented by Founding Partner Onur Atakay and Chief Executive Officer Faruk Yıldırım at the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) meeting held in Senegal and attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Yıldırım also took part in the Turkish Private Sector Delegation on a business trip to the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand in Uzbekistan.
Sintek executives will continue to support and contribute to the studies organized by DEİK in 2019, which concern the target markets of the company.
